Despite the ongoing and severe restrictions due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Manager Training Programme (MP) will continue. In conjunction with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), the Programme activities were largely halted in the middle of March. In cooperation with the local partners and in close consultation with the German training centres, the GIZ is currently developing a set of measures to keep the Programme running and which will enable the implementation of individual Programme components.
In doing so, options for the digital or virtual implementation of specific Programme modules are being examined. "We intend to ensure that all the entrepreneurs who have already successfully completed the selection process will be able to participate in the Programme as soon as possible and thereby actively support them in their desire to establish successful economic cooperation with German enterprises. The excellent relationships with our partners and the alumni associations in the 21 MP countries is a good basis for doing so," explains Reimut Düring, Head of the Manager Training Programme. "We hope that the restrictions in relation to the Coronavirus pandemic will ease and that we will be able to start the first measures in June," says Düring.
Questions relating to participating in the Programme are answered by the contact persons in the respective MP partner countries.
