The main focus of the new issue of the “Journal” is on the adaptation of the Manager Training Programme (MP) to a virtual format due to the corona pandemic. In it, participants and alumni from the partner countries as well as trainers and tutors from Germany describe their experiences with the digital seminars, company visits and trade events that have been taking place since mid-2020.
The issue also addresses how MP alumni are dealing with the corona pandemic. “While the pandemic meant a loss of turnover and planning uncertainty for many firms in 2020, completely new opportunities have emerged for some Programme alumni. Therefore, the success stories in this issue are primarily also about new paths of business and ideas for crisis management”, explains Reimut Düring, Head of the Manager Training Programme.
Further contributions in the new “Journal” describe the measures the German Federal Government has taken to mitigate the economic consequences of the pandemic and the effects it has been having on foreign trade. In addition, there are specialist articles on crisis management and the role of digital communication plus – as usual – news from the partner countries of the Programme.
The “Journal” is a publication by the Manager Training Programme of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). It is published twice a year in German, English and Russian.
