Nobody could hope that the Santiago kick-off workshop would catch the eye of so big political celebrities. The workshop participants couldn’t believe their eyes – in the morning on the 29th of August, they were greeted by none other than Luis Felipe Céspedes, Chile’s Minister of Economy. He was joined by Peter Sauer, Head of the Economic Department of the German Embassy, and Claudio Maggi, Department Head at the MP partner organization CORFO, who came to wish the participants every success for their stay in Germany. Céspedes emphasized the crucial role of the exchange of knowledge and experience for the future economic development in Chile. The two-day event that ran flawlessly thanks above all to Mr Joerg Kalmbach from Carl Duisberg Centren provided a good example of such an exchange. It was also an intensive preparation course: Mr Kalmbach helped the participants develop strategies to get in touch with German companies. The Chilean executives formulated a detailed plan, tailored to achieve their cooperation goals, and gained their first impressions about how to do business in Germany. Now they can’t wait to see Cologne where they are due to arrive in early October.
The MP for Chile is scheduled to take place from 3 to 28.10.2017 in Germany. Carl Duisberg Centren is responsible for the implementation of the Programme.
