Programme with Chile Extended

Germany and Chile have extended their partnership in the Manager Training Programme (MP). Both sides signed a Joint Declaration in Santiago de Chile on 21 December sealing the continuation of the cooperation until 2024.

The declaration was signed by Dr Christian Hellbach, German Ambassador to Chile, on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, by Minister Lucas Palacios Covarrubias for the Ministry of Economy, Development and Tourism of the Republic of Chile, and by Vice-President Pablo Terrazas Lagos on behalf of the Chilean MP partner organisation CORFO.

The South American country has been a member of the Programme since 2017. More than 200 Chilean managers have participated in the meantime; the majority of them come from companies seeking to cooperate with German firms in the area of sustainable technologies. Green Business and Industry 4.0 are currently focal topics of the training. An alumni network for Chilean alumni is being set up.
