Partnership with Russia extended to 2022

Germany and Russia will continue their cooperation in the framework of the Manager Training Programme (MP). The German Ambassador in Russia, Dr Géza Andreas von Geyr, and Vladislav Fedulov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, signed a joint declaration on the continuation of the Programme until 2022 in Moscow on 9 July 2020. “We all agree on the goal: economic cooperation works better when the business community knows each other better," said Ambassador von Geyr after the signing ceremony.
Russia has been a partner country of the MP since 1998 and has sent more than 6,000 executives from the middle and upper management levels to Germany since then. In addition, the “Fit for Business in Russia” programme has offered German entrepreneurs the opportunity since 2006 to get to know potential business partners in Russia as part of a practice-oriented training course.
