The German-Georgian Partnering in Business with Germany Programme prepares executives from Georgia specifically for business initiation and economic cooperation with German enterprises. Each year, around 20 Georgian executives take part in this practical training. They come from firms which have foreign trade potential that wish to establish contacts in Germany. The focus is on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Under the motto “Partnering in Business with Germany” the participants acquire management skills, gain insights into German business practices and establish contact with German enterprises, mainly medium-sized firms. The programme is aimed at managers and future managers, and at upper and middle management levels of Georgian enterprises and is generally open to all industries.

A Bilateral Agreement Between the Two Countries

Since 2016, Georgia has been a Partnering in Business with Germany Programme partner country. A corresponding government agreement exists between the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. So far, 167 entrepreneurs from Georgia have participated in the programme.
