Partnering in Business with Germany
An instrument by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action to promote foreign trade
A festive event dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Manager Training Programme with Egypt was held in Cairo on June 14, 2023. Over the past ten years, a total of 350 businesswomen and businessmen have completed the Programme successfully, many of them working in mechanical engineering, chemistry, food production, metal and plastics processing and services.
Two steering committee meetings on the further development of the Manager Training Programme were held in Berlin in October, one between Germany and India and the other between Germany and Egypt. The meetings centred around a stronger concentration on current topics in the already successful bilateral cooperation.
Germany and Egypt have extended their cooperation within the framework of the Manager Training Programme (MP) up to 2025. German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), Robert Habeck, and Nevine Gamea, Minister of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Egypt, signed a Joint Declaration to that effect on 21 June 2022 in Berlin.
The Manager Training Programme with Egypt will be continued up to the end of 2022. Germany and Egypt have agreed on this and both countries have signed a Joint Declaration of Intent. Continue reading

Around 50 co-operations are planned or have already been agreed – this is what the 19 Egyptian managers, who completed further training in March 2016, have achieved so far. The economic value of these contacts is estimated at a total of 20 million euros, whereby most of this sum consists of goods exports from Germany to Egypt.
